I got an everything extra toasted with butter. Seeds on both sides should be a plus. But it was mostly soft sesaeme and poppy seeds nothing else. The bagel was black toasted which i like but somehow it was crispy it was chewy

Based on my admittedly large sample of NYC bagels, Black Seed makes the best bagels in New York. I’m talking about the bagel itself. There are places with a better atmosphere, more toppings, or better smoked fish. But for me, the bagel is what matters most, in a bagel, and Black Seed Bagel are at the top of the game.

Just ordered a toasted bagel with lux and dial cream cheese. I didn’t check what I was given until I got to the office. Just a plain bagel with regular cream cheese. They were not busy; the store manager took my order, confirmed what I wanted, prepped it herself but still gave me the wrong one. Not the first time this has happened, I’ve written reviews many times but it’s way overdue. Do not go to that shop; they’re careless and sloppy

I popped into Black Seed Bagels before catching a train at Grand Central. It was a bit early in the morning and was a little hard to find the location on the weekend. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I normally prefer eating breakfast sandwiches on a roll and just do a schmear with bagels but I broke my rule and...it wasn't that bad actually. They used real bacon and lots of it IMO. It was a perfect pop-in spot but they also had some seating to enjoy your order along the walls. I didn't stay to eat though!

First time @ this location and I was really impressed. Everyone was super nice from the moment I walked in and greeted me right away. The staff made great recommendations, and the pastrami egg sandwich was excellent. The girl with the pink headband was on point, very helpful, friendly, and made the experience even better. The guy making the eggs cooked them perfectly. You can tell they have a smooth system in place because everything moved quickly and efficiently while still feeling welcoming. Definitely coming back.
